It's just me yo.
No, really. THIS is how I do it.
I think about a lot of random stuff and I like to write it down. I believe in a lot of things and I think an equal amount of stuff is total crap. I am a cynical optimist. I am real. I like synchronicity and idiosyncrasy. My brain works quickly, which does not guarantee accuracy but is not A.D.D. Usually my mouth works even more quickly. I thought being really tall and living in Asia was pretty cool; but I am super glad to be back in California now. I want to be happy, bendy and satisfied... Because really, who wouldn't?-

Mao Tse Tung said: “Drought? Whatevs. Make Rain. Oops. Snow.”
On October 1, 2009 there was a big old party in Hong Kong to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Hong Kong big-ups their Chinese-y-ness for stuff like this. [The same happened during the Olympics when … Continue reading

Points of Contention.
Recently I made a post on a website I frequently use (though I feel like perhaps that should change) that caused such an unbelievable commotion I was stunned. I posted an article from Al Jazeera about the Gaza crisis, with … Continue reading

I am DEEP into the Olympics.
I have been doing very little else aside from following the Beijing Olympic games for the past week. I love the Olympics in general and was very interested to see how China was gonna pull this whole thing off. And … Continue reading

“One World, One Dream”?
China keeps on impressing me. And this slogan is starting to seem really fascist to me. Whose dream are we talking about anyhow? It was reported on Friday that bar owners in Sanlitun, a sort of Lan Kwai Fong-ish area … Continue reading

“Beijing Lays Down Olympic Laws”
Or so says The Standard, Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Inspired by StacyJill’s incredulousness (is that a word?) regarding internet censorship in China: “It was this whole report on how people in China have no idea that they are being censored … Continue reading
Everyone likes a good conspiracy….
I am in a China kind of mood these days… spurred on by the constant ebb and flow of odd and intriguing (along with the rather mundane) news that is circulating about China. In addition I am helping one of … Continue reading

Reason 2,639,093,126,895,470 that Hong Kong is Not China.
Last weekend was a holiday weekend in Hong Kong. Not in China PRC, but just Hong Kong. It was Buddha’s birthday on the 12th of May and so I had the day off. It was great. I decided to also … Continue reading
